Moving!!!!!

So a lot of us are stuck at home and feel that there isn’t much to challenge us. That can stop if you choose to. Here is a type of exercise called Tabata. This is considered a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for those that are not familiar with it. The challenge is to go all out for a period of time, then dial it down for another period of time. Anyone can do this, no excuse for age or ability to move. You have to start at some point so here are some examples to get you going or to challenge you.

If all you can do is walk, great. Here are some suggestions for different levels of exercise.

  • Walk fast for 20 seconds (if you can only do 10 seconds, that is fine. Just push yourself a little)
  • Then slow to moderate pace for 40 seconds
  • If you can sprint, then:
  • Sprint for 20 seconds
  • Walk for 40 seconds
  • Bike (Stationary or Regular)
  • Go all out for 20 seconds
  • Moderate pace for 40 seconds
  • The objective is to get to 30 intervals (30 minutes)

Comment below with a picture or statement on what you did. Remember anything you do to improve yourself is a positive accomplishment.
